Active Transport Win: 1st National Bike-To-Work Day

SafeTravelPH participated in the 1st National Bike-To-Work Day organized by the Department of Health (DOH) last November 29, 2023. Deploying GoPro cameras, funded by the organizing committee, a bike counting exercise was conducted to demonstrate how local governments can also use their own CCTV cameras in the city to monitor cycling infrastructure.

Using AI technology, automated counting and object identification can expedite data collection for research and policy action. The data collected in this event from November 29 to December 31 will be open to the public via the SafeTravelPH Open Data portal.
